Flying Ship Productions is a full-service theatre production company, which creates lively performances geared for children and family audiences with:

Flying Ship Productions was commissioned by the New York City Department of Transportation to create a traffic safety musical ("The Apple Corps"), which has toured to schools, parks, hospitals, and community sites throughout NYC, and has been credited with helping make New York a safer city for children.

We will create a production to deliver your message in recycling, ecology, traffic safety, electrical safety, or any topic of your choosing.

Flying Ship Productions delivers their educational messages effectively by using theatrical techniques and contemporary music to captivate the audience and create an emotional bond with the characters. The audience becomes thoroughly engrossed in the storyline, and thereby pays close attention to the messages that are intricately and organically woven into the productions. The children learn without realizing it, connecting the lessons to their personal lives and experiences.

Flying Ship Productions' scripts and music are written by Jonathan Luks, and the shows are directed and choreographed by JoAnna Schnoll-Luks. The company creates all the scenery, costumes, props, soundtracks, rehearses the actors, and operates the tours. The productions are mini-Broadway musicals, which are easily transportable from location to location. Many of their past shows have been based on classic literature, folklore, or historical figures, but their productions can be designed to deliver any special theme.
